Welcome to the summer membership! We are finally recovering from this years talent show. It was by far the best one in many years if not the best ever. For the third straight year we sold out and this year actually turned a few people away! We raised money for two wonderful charities Mami Dora and the USO. We will be presenting their checks at the July Happy Hour.We also wish to congratulate the 2013-2014 Talent Show winner Anielya Wells-Miller. Anielya also won back in 2011. John Morris came in 2nd and in 3rd place was Miss Jessica Wimberly. On behalf of the entire TLC board, we can not thank you the membership enough for your support for our annual event!
Summer is traditionally a casual and fun time for the TLC and this summer is no different. We have some outstanding programing being planned for the next three months. We look forward to seeing you all soon! Please make every effort to RSVP for the events you plan to attend. This simple courtesy will go a long way to helping us better plan for events. Thank you.
In May we once again awarded The TLC Spirit award to a deserving young person who shows great promise in the arts. This years winner was Miss Christina Bernadotte. Christina is a wonderful theater student who will be starting high school in Aug. Great Job Christina!
June Events:
Sat. June 28th 2014: Our June Happy Hour will be at Buffalo Wild Wings in South Miami’s Sunset Place. Join the TLC as we celebrate the start of summer Sat. June 28th 2014 starting at 6pm and going to about 8:30pm. Lite munchies will be served to members. The shoppes at Sunset Place is located at: 5701 Sunset Dr, South Miami, FL 33143-5379.
