August Newsletter

As the summer nears it’s close TLC has some wonderful activities social planned for you as we, the board plan the final quarter of our 2015 season.  We want to start by saying a big thank you to everyone who came out to our July happy hour where we presented our charity checks.  It was a special evening for us all.  This month our monthly happy hour will be on Sat. Aug. 29th in Hallandale at Juniper on the water.  It is right on the Dade/Broward border and simply a great and unique location.  We really urge as many of you who can to come out and get acquainted with this special place. We will be doing a special collection for veterans Military Care packages and hospitalized Vets at our happy hours in Aug. and Sept. Please refer to the list at the bottom of this newsletter and consider bringing in some items.  One of the founding members of TLC and past Treasurer Mr. Jose Alcaraz along with his wife Barbara will be collecting the items after our Sept. Happy Hour.

In Sept. we are back at our home base, Post #31 for our musical happy hour.  It is our sincere hope to bring you live music as often as possible at our  happy hours.  So please be on the lookout for what performers will be with us over the next months.  Please consult the website for the latest updates.

Lastly, if you have not paid your 2015 dues, you’re now late.  A Big thank you to everyone who has.  If you have not, please do so ASAP.  Remember that munchies and other freebies are only for dues paying members and their guests.
