June 2016 Newsletter
Dear Membership,
We hope this month’s newsletter finds you well. First off the board wishes to thank everyone who came out and supported this years Talent Show. Those who did were fortunate to see some truly great local talent. We also had a first this year…our first tie for first place. Much congratulations to Mr. James Woolwine and Patricia Richards. You were both wonderful as were all our entertainers. Everyone will get a chance to hear James again as he will be performing for both the Legion and TLC on a special Thurs. happy hour on July 7th. That’s right where other organizations slow down or even shut down during the summer months, TLC increases the fun for your membership!
We wish to add that we are still accepting donations for both Dora as well as the USO throughout the month of June and even into early July. We are tentatively scheduled to present the checks to Dora and the USO on Sat. July 23rd pending some last minute scheduling.
Lastly I wish to announce that once again TLC awarded the TLC Spirit award to a deserving young person .excelling in the arts. The 2016 winner was young Rafael Collado a fine young man with a bright future in theater and art.
A brief reminder: 2016 dues are now officially overdue. If you have not sent in your renewal check for $24 in as of yet, please do so now. Our dues are very important to keep the high level of activities coming your way at little or no cost to you.

Sat. June 25th 2016:
Join the TLC as we welcome the very talented Miss. Clarissa Humm to our monthly happy hour at Legion Post #31 in South Miami.
Time: 5:30 to 7:30
Cost: $4 for TLC members. $6 for non-members or free if you make a $10 donation to either the USO or Dora.
We will have a wonderful buffet but please note the food is put out by 5:45 so please get there on time if you want to eat.
Location: 7710 SW 59th Ave American Legion Post #31.

Thurs. July 7th 2016:
Special Thurs. Happy Hour! Join the TLC and the American Legion as we welcome back Mr. James Woolwine for more of what he did so well at this years Talent Show….Play the Guitar. Come out and hear his special style of guitar play. It is truly outstanding!
Time: 6pm till 8pm music from 6:30 till 7:30.
Lite Munchies served.
Cost is just $3 for TLC members/$4 for non-members
