April 2019 Newsletter

First off we on the board wish to thank all who came out to this year’s St. Patty’s Day Party for St. Stephens Episcopal School.  We had an amazing showing and it was truly a breath of fresh air to see so many TLCers at this event.  In total, we had 18 in this year’s party. TLC’s effort raised about 1/4 of the total dollars raised for St. Stephens Mission trip this year. This is “Us” Making a difference.  This is what it is all about! Already looking forward to next year!

Now on to new stuff! Congratulations to two of our longest and greatest members!!!! Both Mr. Art Bivins who has performed and helped out with events for the past 16 years that TLC has been around and our own Board Secretary Mr. John Morris who has been a super active member for more than a decade are in a big film shot down here in South Florida called Beach Bum. We are so very proud of each of them!!!!  Both have speaking lines in the film.  Later this month we plan a TLC movie day (See Below). We will also be looking at a date in the coming months where perhaps we can host a Q and A with both actors. (Of course, schedule permitting for these now two stars!)

It is once again that time of year when we must renew our state license with the State of Florida.  Thanks to all who have paid their dues. There are a few of you who have not paid your 2019 dues.  Please take care of this as soon as possible.

Lastly, several of you have noticed that we have not scheduled out yearly Talent Show for this May. You are correct. We will not be doing the show this year but are planning to return with our 15th annual show in 2020! We felt we needed a bit of time to make number 15 as big as it should be. However, we do plan a larger event in mid-July. So please look for future newsletters with info and remember you can always check out what is going on with TLC on our website.

Saturday, April 13th, 2019 we will celebrate a welcome to springtime Happy Hour with James Woolwine.
5:30pm til 7:30pm/ Food/ raffles and fun!

Sunday, April 14th, 2019 we are planning to see Beach Bum at Sunset Place.  Time TBA but please email interest so we can let you know the time as soon as it is released.  It will be in the mid. afternoon.
