Dear Membership,

Certainly, these are trying times for our country. A social club, at a time when we are called upon to social distance, is probably the furthest thing from your mind. However, President Kavanaugh and the rest of the TLC board felt we should reach out to all of our membership and tell you how TLC is proceeding with social distancing, as well as our plans going forward once we are able to gather once more. Obviously, it will be some time before large groups are able to gather hence we must postpone our 15th annual Talent Show until such time as it is prudent.

We have already discussed a smaller fundraiser to help recovery once we can gather. More news about this is forthcoming as we move forward.

This month we must pay our yearly licensing for our corporation. Thanks to YOU, the membership, dues have been coming in at, to be honest, a faster rate than the past several years. I guess you have the time to send your dues as you are no doubt at home. In any event we, the board, thank you. Our finances are the strongest they have been in approx. 3 years!!!! This will enable us to plan some great events very soon after we can once again gather!

We hope to be able to resume small gatherings by late May or early June such as our summer dart league or small happy hour.

Several board members have discussed the option of a zoom event possibility. Please let us know if you would be interested in us hosting such an event. What might interest you? It has worked for a wonderful new local organization called Toxic Masculinity.

The main thing, however, is You our membership….be well and should you have any questions or concerns about your membership, please do not hesitate to reach out.

P.S. Just a fast news release that last month due to your generosity my daughter raised $127 for the Rice Bowl Charity!!! Thanks to Art Bivins for a great St. Patty’s Day Happy Hour. This was our last event before the shutdown. We all hope to be able to attend next year St. Patty’s Day Party at St. Stephens which was canceled due to the outbreak.
