January 2021 Newsletter
Dear Membership,
On Behalf of the entire TLC board, we want to wish you all a wonderful New Year! Our past year has been a lulu and we are ready to move on and finally get back to normal. 2020 was, however, good for TLC. We had our highest renewal rate of the past 7 years! We raised a substantial amount of money for charity and we supported our wonderful TLC performers and discovered a few new ones!
Much thanks to everyone who supported our wonderful holiday party. Although not as grand as past events. it was certainly well attended and a big success. Just seeing all those wonderful toys collected for Toys for Tots made the evening well worth it! It was a record collection in a year where the marines had so much trouble with donations.
Important TLC news! Our own Art Bivins has released a novel, The Thief Taker’s Choice. I am happy to say, I got the honor to review this book for him and boy is it a great read! Please consider checking it out on Amazon!
This month we will welcome an entirely new act!!! Madame G. and her Burlesque Karaoke event will help us ring in the New Year…a day late!!! Hey 2020 was so bad we can celebrate it’s leaving twice!!! So come on out Jan. 2nd at 6 pm for a special New Years TLC event. We will have party favors, karaoke, great drink prices, and food available for purchase created by a special guest chef. We will also be raffling off a beautiful full-size air fryer compliments of our President, Ms. Nancy Kavanaugh, along with our normal 50/50 raffle and basket of Joy! Thank You Nancy for the donation!!! See you there!!!
It is renewal time. Please take a moment and either bring in your 2021 dues or mail them in. One reason we are able to keep expanding our events is due to the great response we had with our 2020 dues. Let’s do it again. If you have any question as to if your 2021 dues are due, simply respond to this email and we will check on it. Most members are now due but a very few who paid late in the season are covered till 2022. Remember once again our board was able to keep the membership cost to the insanely low $24 a year!!!! That is just $2 a month!
