June 2023 Newsletter
Dear TLC Community,
Welcome to summer and welcome back to the TLC newsletter. We took a small break but we are back and great TLC programming is back as well. First off a big thanks to all those who have paid their 2022-2023 dues. There are just a few of you who have not, (You know who you are), so please send your check in ASAP. TLC has kept the cost of membership super low. With the rising costs of, well everything, we can only afford to continue to do so when all members are on board.
Next, what have we been doing? Well, first off I am happy to report that we renewed our State of Florida License. This time, the renewal came with congratulations on our 20th year serving South Florida. More about that later. Early this month we once again awarded the TLC Spirit award to a deserving young performer. This year the award went to: Miss. Christina Pelaez. A bit about Christina. She is a young lady pursuing acting and wow is she talented! Since our name is “Theater” it is great that this year’s recipient is a theater performer. Best of Luck Christina, who won a Beautiful TLC Spirit Plaque as well as a $50 award!!!!
As was stated in the previous paragraph, Next month marks the 20th anniversary of The Theater Lovers Community. We will plan a couple of special 20-year TLC events over the next month. One of which will be a trip back to our first Happy Hour location, Foxes and perhaps a dinner where our club first formed in the back room of the now fully renovated and restored John Martins. Watch for next month’s newsletter coming soon with details.
This month, join the TLC at our home base the American Legion Post #31 for an 80’s Night starring Madame G.!!! See details below.
